The cryptocurrency world just took another massive leap toward everyday usability. Tangem, the company famous for its ultra-secure hardware wallets in card form, has officially rolled out Tangem Pay
a virtual crypto payment card integrated straight into the Tangem Wallet app. It lets users spend directly from their wallet anywhere in the world.

Tangem Pay is a non-custodial payment account built right into the Tangem Wallet mobile app. Here’s what that means in practice:

Where Is Tangem Pay Available Right Now?
As of March 2026, Tangem Pay is live and expanding:
- Available in selected countries across the USA (many states), Latin America (LATAM), Asia-Pacific (APAC), Middle East, Africa (including South Africa), New Zealand, Australia, and more.
- Since March 23, 2026 – rolled out to the European Economic Area (EEA), which includes most EU countries.
The rollout has been gradual throughout March, with more regions being added step by step. Some countries remain excluded (specific names aren’t always listed best to check directly in the app). If your country isn’t supported yet, you can join the waitlist on the official Tangem site for early notifications.
How to Start Using Tangem Pay?
The process is surprisingly straightforward:
1. Update your Tangem Wallet app to the latest version
2. Look for the “Activate Pay” banner and start onboarding
3. Complete KYC (identity verification) required due to regulations
4. Once approved, your virtual Visa card is issued right away
5. Top up by sending USDC (on Polygon) from your Tangem Wallet or any other wallet/exchange to the provided address (or use in-app 1-tap swap options like Changelly)
6. Start spending 3D online, in stores, subscriptions, travel anywhere Visa works
Only the virtual card is available at launch. A physical card version is planned for later.
